That's my guess too. They flirted with a nig and went around to his house, but then backed out when he actually tried to lay them. He didn't take it well, gets groid rage, and ultimately kills them to prevent them testifying against him.
As far as he's concerned it's entirely their fault. Can't say I disagree, albeit for different reasons.
