Anytime anyone using the excuse "but I have nothing to hide" to defend these sorts of intrusions into their privacy rights, I tell them to imagine a pair of strangers pressing their faces up against every window in their house, watching everything they do. I then ask if they would be okay with that. I've never had someone say "yes". People think digital privacy is less important, because they can't see any physical representation of the level of intrusion.
