We know that at least Influenza is real. Given all the measures taken to protect us from Covid, wouldn't it kill off the flu too?

I don't, but I've had a number of sicknesses throughout my lifetime with similar symptoms which doctors diagnosed as influenza and were treated the same. Gotta call it something.
