Are you in Oz? You don't have to answer, I'm just generally curious. I'm in the US, flyover country part. The reason mention where we're from, in the United States suicides from gun deaths are counted in with the gun violence numbers. I'm not aware that Australia does, but doing so bumps up the numbers. And that helps politicians take guns out of legal gun owners hands, but nothing to take them from the criminal.

We were just suspicious of the gun violence numbers being quoted so did our own survey of the records and found them to be bunk. Suicides were not counted in the violence numbers at the time but that was in the early 90’s.

Thanks for the reply, I was interested in knowing that. I'm doubting there were race stats, % of abos to whites. They did keep the race statistics in the US. They probably got shut down due to left is screaming racism. We don't have a gun violence problem in the US, we have a black people violence problem in the US. Not only did they shoot more, but they stab, rape, steal, etc more. The statistics are so lopsided it makes me sick.

Never heard of any Aboriginal gun violence. There was no general gun violence at the time, looking back now it was obvious they were just waiting for the right moment or did they make it happen! Since then gun violence is out of hand but mostly by the imports ie moslem Lebanese, asians, bikie gangs etc.
