It was evil from the start
the first pope spent most of his life in jail and tortured for his beliefs, idiot.
He wasn't a pope.
Actually, the first TWO popes, Peter and Linus, were both martyred.
What was he? A Bishop? The Pope is the Bishop of Rome, Pontefex Maximus.
Who he? St Peter? We are still tortured for Our beliefs.
I don't know about that. I know Christ didn't want any churches established in his name, but it was inevitable that a congregation of believers, who wished to worship in unison, would form. It's a shame, and almost feels like all of this was meant to happen. The darkest days are still ahead... but I know that God wins in the end; whether or not my body will be there to witness it. I just hope that I can help bring the will of God to be done on Earth as it is in heaven. That's all I want/expect from myself, and my brothers and sisters.
