EDIT: It's also worth noting that these days it's near impossible for a fit white married couple to adopt a young white kid. The waiting list is long with plenty of hoops to jump through, and probably why John Roberts had to rely on overseas human trafficking to adopt his two white kids. There is no waiting list for black kids or older (teenage) white kids who have been in the system a while. There are plenty of them waiting for adoption. How did an unfit black couple jump the queue and get to priority if that wasn't the exact outcome desired by the system.
