They're just guaranteeing that only the biggest companies will survive. I live in an area where there are normally a handful of mom-and-pop grocers in each town. It's already the case that these places have to charge more just to survive, but the prices are still reasonable enough that more affluent folk and retirees will keep the doors open, just to go to a place with faces they know. They'd like for that all to go away. I'm not supposed to be able to go in and talk to my local butcher and know where meat is coming from, and know that it's from local farmers. Nope, I'm supposed to walk into a grocery store and just hope the Mexican stocking the meat fridge can understand me when I ask if they have a particular cut. Better yet, I'm supposed to walk into that store without the confidence on any given day that there will be much meat in the fridge at all. I've been to a couple of the major grocery chains lately and the availability of meat has been shit - always plenty of "ice glazed" frozen chicken from Tyson though. Yippee.
Yep those 4 bucks will sure want you to get stabbed as a worker and as an owner it totally motivates you to reopen in the same thifing stabbing shithole, but at more cost.
You know why? Because now the cops are abolished.
The Asians sure speak Spanish well.
The only good part of Long Beach is along the coast and streets that make up the race track. But BLM torched that area so who knows. I haven't been there in a year.
There's a significant Asian population there, dude. But they keep to themselves and push their kids to become doctors instead of playing weird polka music too loud in traffic. Maybe that's why you haven't noticed them...
I worked downtown from 2016 to 2020. There's not many Asians in that area.
How the fuck does a city council have the authority to dictate what a business should pay their employees?!
Because idiot Democrats
