Me, yesterday, had my normal 6 month checkup with my VA Doctor. Phone consult, because can't see me in person, covid bs. She says, paraphrasing here "would you like to come in for a flu shot?" Me:"no thank you, the flu shot usually makes me sick, I only want to be up to date on my tetanus shot because I work on old rusty cars." Doctor says "Well this year is different, normally they put a dead bug in the vaccine, which MAY have made you sick previously, but THIS YEAR, there is no dead bug in there, they have replaced it with a protein. Did you know this year there has been hardly any flu at all? Because of the flu shots, we have eradicated the flu for this year."

I didn't know my Doctor was retarded. Honestly didn't know. Instead of me saying "you brain dead bitch, the reason their is no flu is because all flu has been renamed to covid." I politely declined her poison, and told her to check my tetanus status, I'm due for my 10 year booster shot next year.

I honestly think there's no flu because they didn't release it on us this season. I'm an ER social worker and all our flu cultures are coming up negative.

Could you elaborate? I thought it was insane that they're actually claiming there is basically no incidence of flu this year. Surely it was just lumped in with covid deaths? You're saying you actually can't detect it?

And was the flu vaccine also coincidentally changed this year as the doctor of the guy above suggests?

Which is more probable, then; that this new vaccine saved us from the flu, or this new vaccine stopped releasing it to us?

All I know is what the nurses in my ER tell me as they conduct flu cultures, which are separate from a COVID test. I talk to an "awake" nurse there sometimes who told me in December that the last time she had a positive flu culture was a couple months back. That is pretty unheard of compared with previous years. I actually don't know about the latest flu vaccine. I stay far away from that and sign a declination form.

They think we are retarded. According to my studies, the flu shots they create are strains predicted to be a problem for the given season, so getting it only covers you for SOME strains but not all, so they are basically telling us that they somehow hit the jackpot and managed to subdue every strain this year? Yeah, not buying it

Same situation here. We have an LPN chick at our CBOC who is a fucking flu shot pusher. Will not shut the fuck up about it. I told her if we eradicated it I have nothing to worry about.

I've had the same doctor for 31 years and I'm in BC Canada. I got the same BS flu shot sales pitch from him and we got into it pretty good. They're all nothing but shitty drug dealers.
