There are decent enough solutions for making a properly functioning one world government. That part isnt the major issue. Given the current state of things and some time its barely an issue at all. I could go into detail but I would rather not for several reasons that I also wont get into.
The major issues would be getting there and dealing with the fallout and opposition of those who like their power.

Thats for the best unfortunately. Even theoretical discussions, and hypothetical is an excuse for the state to use overwhelming force.
