If their advertisers ever got a look into their real traffic, that would tank them. These companies do things like pooling, where campaign traffic is thrown at junk web traffic to push the numbers up, and then you have known bot traffic that's being treated like it's that of legitimate users. Twitter is not the worst, Reddit is particularly bad for this kind of thing.
I wonder if there's anyone left to actually post on Reddit after they banned every sub for "hate speech".
