It has probably been part of the play all along to gain control over business's not already compromised. They will have hella leverage anytime they want to, whenever they want to. Just plant a spy in the company, say/do stupid shit, post on social media, threaten to deplatform if you don't do X (that could be so many things). It takes years to move a big company to the cloud - two days to move is criminal.

I bet every IT person is double checking those terms they signed now :)
