I work in forestry and the portion of my time I have to spend filing paperwork, applying for permits, and ensuring my loggers are in compliance with state regulations (some of which are good rules, don't get me wrong) is astounding - and I live in one of the most harvest-friendly states. It still amazes me that 2x4s are so cheap after everything that goes into getting a standing tree to the mill.

Overregulation and bureaucratic bloat are crushing the smaller independent working-class folks.

My first salaried position paid $65k. Adjusted for inflation that's $110k in today's money. The same job, at the same company is available now. For $55k. This is a time bomb that's about to explode. Anyone under 30 has no chance for a living wage.

Same here. Even after taking a high end position with a company that everyone would recognize, they only offered $75k. Had I been a contractor, that same job would have paid $100/hour plus overtime. Everything is moving toward the so-called "gig economy".

I think the OP and yourself have a good point, considered this as well, that events unfolding may be due to the fact that this little 'animal farm' is being foreclosed on, ie: the bad math is coming home. The farmers and the livestock, both nervous.

First mistake was assuming there was an answer, second was assuming I would know.

We can spin yarns about salvation all night and tomorrow will still find us.

You're probably right about Ammo and Land. We should probably barter things of value and leave paper to the paper merchants.

It would be preferable to be a contented landowner, than the wage slave I was raised to be. When I was a kid, thought apartments were the coolest thing, now I fear dying with nothing at all being actually owned by me, and at my death, my kin.

Ok I have an answer now: we need to "Get our houses in order" and that includes deterring involvement with external malicious forces, such as, financial institutions and government overreach. Best I can do.

I suspect he does not take this role seriously. I honestly THINK he's gonna take office (and a shitstorm will likely follow and his whole admin will be either a clusterfuck or short-lived, imho, but I am perplexed and annoyed by the weakness he is displaying, he supposedly won, and he's still acting like a bitch.

yep. the bureaucracy is where the deep state resides. it's all about the pension packages and and army of useless job government workers to support an army of lazy willfully ignorant entrained useful idiots. a good gauge - number of people you see driving alone windows up wearing a mask and volunteering for the jab. take public edication for example, most of the money goes to admisistration in all juridictions.
