P2P distributed software is not going to save the censorship. Mitch McConnel's proposed 230 repeal changes the definition of "interactive computer service" to include software providers that allow people to communicate with one another. So basically, the software creators will be liable for content posted using their software.
That wouldn't hold up at all. Many illegal things are done using software, almost all on big-company software.
I would agree, but the fact that they're trying to trip up alt-tech through holding software makers responsible is worrying.
If I sell a gun and they then shoot someone with that gun, I am somehow liable?
