i think a lot about trust when going down a high-speed road with no median. surprised the number of head-on collisions aren't higher.
this fake pandemic isn't helping western civilization one little bit.
In the road example, you don't have to rely on trust, because you can rely on incentive, or disincentive.
we are all still trusting people are well-rested and alert and not looking a their phones, which i still see too much of. i'm not big on minutiae when i am at the bottom of steep hill at a stoplight waiting to make my left turn as 4,000 pounds of vehicle come barreling toward me at 65 miles an hour. i'm just hoping he or she has got his or her shit together.
