A lot of people want the power and opportunity of politics and will shift their beliefs to fit their own needs. The political donor system, which forces all politicians and parties to represent their largest donors before all else should make it perfectly clear that there is no room for personal integrity in politics. Not only can it not exist; but people have no business looking for it there.
