I suspect all of what you write is correct. In fact, I have almost no doubt about any of it other than the shots from the birds. I've seen lots of footage of flashes from the helos but they don't seem to be regular enough and at the right interval to be automatic or burst fire. Could be distortion via distance and desert heat? Regardless, there's almost nothing about the LV shooting that is as it has been reported in the media. The media narrative is complete shameless fabrication.
