Exactly. Someone tried to argue that the ones leaving were ones who DIDNT share Cali political stance, which is bullshit. Many got rich or wealthy there, and find cheaper land in other states to retire to. Many just fucked it up there and then somehow don't realize the consequences of their actions and so leave someone else to clean up their mess.
