Exactly. Someone tried to argue that the ones leaving were ones who DIDNT share Cali political stance, which is bullshit.

Many got rich or wealthy there, and find cheaper land in other states to retire to. Many just fucked it up there and then somehow don't realize the consequences of their actions and so leave someone else to clean up their mess.

The coronavirus pandemic has also forced many in California to work from home, which makes living close to work less important and a potential move easier to commit to, especially when the same salary can be earned in a less expensive state.

New York and New Jersey are facing the exact same situation, and for the exact same reasons. Crushing taxes, poor services, insane lock-down restrictions, etc. make it easier for people to cut the cord.
