I get that. Plenty of people here share links to their own sites. We're just tidier than other places, I guess.
your argument about posting links to ones own site makes sense, and i appreciate your reply, however i have trouble understanding how posting news in is un-titdy - that seems like a different matter than linking to my own site
stabbing in the dark, i'll guess that the format may be a problem because the posts are a compilation of articles?
if that's the case, i wonder what readers would rather see; a huge dump of posts from the same user once or twice a day, or a single post once or twice a day? (i have no intention whatsoever of spamming posts like that, but it's a logical example)
the advantage that i see with the latter is that people can get a feel for the kind of news i post on 12bytes.org and if they don't like it, they need only ignore one post - plus, yes, of course i'm interested in increasing readership on my site, not for monetary reasons obviously, but because i think the stuff i post there may be important and informative - not that i'm a great researcher like Corbett, Whitney Webb, George Webb, R. Dawson, Morphonios, etc., etc., but i do tend to research stuff a bit deeper than the average Joe
My advice would be this.
Create a 12 Bytes sub and mention it in and see what kind of traction you get.
