To be fair, when you are a teacher you are essentially a part of the government. We don't pay the government to wave political party support for one side or the other in front of us.

But now we just need to apply that consistently.

Also, if the teacher is a public school teacher, as opposed to private school, it's a grave mistake, the US constitution explicitly forbid .gov and its employees to infringe upon freedom of speech of US citizen

I have no idea why I read that as teacher. Clearly I need to go back to school. Maybe public school was the problem.
