And, again, the police unions will protect their own and these two beatnik cops will skate. We have gun rights orgs associations and they haven't prevented things like this from happening. If those orgs actually did good by gun owners and sued the unions into oblivion each time this happened then we wouldn't be constantly hearing of such happenings.
For false reporting leading to man slaughter, the charge should be murder. I mean that's exactly like swatting ending with someone getting killed, police is turned accessory to murder essentially
Also, and I can't really blame the cop for that, the guy got shot 3 times in a row while he was obviously surrounding and kneeling down... At the same time raising a gun and firing from that position takes virtually no time, it can be done in a split second, so I can't totally blame the cop for his reaction while I definitely believe it was misguided this time, obviously
And as stated, the guy should have asked for identification before opening the door, while not standing right behind it ideally, because bullets tend to go through those shitty doors quite easily on top of being a very predictable spot to stand on. And while there's no law against that, he definitely shouldn't have walked outside just like that with a gun in his hand. You live in a country where there's a gun under every rock and cops have to deal with that fact, act accordingly, better be safe than sorry
knock knock
who is it?
Phoenix Police
I guess my dumb ass better walk out the door with a gun
. The girlfriend should sue that complainant for telling the po-po that this guy could be violent.
You're assuming he could hear that. People act like hysterical bitches when they see a man w/ a gun these days. They were already drawn and his shit was pointed at toes. It's a gun grabber strategy to pretend a man w/ a gun not pointed at you or being drawn is a reason to defend yourself. Go inna woods.
I didn't realize normal people were incapable of yelling through a door asking for identification after a door knock. I've done it for years now and I guess that's just my super power. I feel gypped.

They were already drawn
Body cam cop had a flashlight drawn, didn't look like the other one that did the shooting had anything out initially.
his shit was pointed at toes
Unholstered gun, in hand, and the cops were tipped off he could be violent by the complaintant. Poor choices were made all around.
They were advised of the possibility of violence "if it made them respond faster".
