Any "movement" has a federal agent problem. If you don't know every single person in the group you belong to extremely well and for a very long time, never trust them.

No movement should be trusted ever. They should only be used to network and swap notes between a group YOU built and other groups with common values and goals. And even then you have to take precautions. Federal agents will use jokes about illegal activity, jokes they made, in order to entrap you for not reporting 'talk' about illegal activity.

Plausible deniability says you cut off contact with any and all people who even joke about illegal activity, and make clear you don't take them serious, think they're joking, specifying even if they claim otherwise (and no matter how many times they claim otherwise), that you think they're joking and that you don't find what they're saying funny. After that, cut em off, and block them entirely. Discussions, even jokes, about illegal activity must always be assumed to be entrapment, and often are from what I've seen in the news.

The feds both fear disregard for the law by political organizations and encourage it because it is the easiest justification for shutting down opposition. Thy prefer this fear of theirs over law abiding organizations because their fear of legitimate organizations gaining traction is even greater than any illegitimate organization.

Because being peaceful, or at the least law-abiding, is seen, in the majority of the public eyes, as a critical factor in the determination of "public legitimacy."

So naturally any long term, growth oriented organization, i.e. a legitimate threat to their control, will be one focused on following the law while fighting back legally, politically, socially, and economically. They try to force you into the illegitimate position because the state in practice has 'unlimited' resources for spying and actual conflict, so these are battles easily won by them.

That is extremely well written. Seriously.

Thank you Professor.

Lots of times I get responses like: "peaceful doesn't accomplish anything. What can you do if you follow the law / remain peaceful? Nothing!"

The image below is a good counter to that. 198 Methods of non-violent action.

Right now everyone on our side is in the transition stage from "share ideas and discuss" to "network and organize". The worse things get, the more hopeful and prepared we should be, as more people wake up to whats going on with our economy, society, and politics at the local, state, and national level.
