Not a good sign. If the platform actually had these rules from the start I'm not sure it would be so bad, but I don't think the bait and switch looks good. What other speech rules are they willing to change on a whim?

It's a little better that at least they aren't walking back their rules. Honestly the obscenity rules don't bother me at all especially since they're using some objective criteria. The 'anything intended to make someone mad' rule I don't like, because it's subjective and caters to hypersensitivity.
Either way, it's the lack of privacy that's a non-starter for me. I'm not going to give them my phone number and I'm not gonna drive out of town to buy a burner phone with cash to register for a Twitter clone.
