10pm follow up (if anyone cares): 5 hrs ago LAPD 'mobilized' its entire force for the next 24 hrs. about 10K is what I read. In addition to LAPD, the police dept's of at least 4 smaller city's were called in. Most of the PD presence focused on downtown LA and this Beverly/Fairfax area. So yeah, lots of manpower to keep protesters away from Beverly Hills is what it looks like to me - 'cause per BLM twitter feeds, Rodeo Dr was tonight's target.
