. I wonder if the reason this case was denied hearing is only because on the "unreasonable" wording of the 4th amendment. In other words, if they would argue their property deserves to be released because they weren't found guilty of any of the suspected illegal gambling charges under which the warrant had been issued, their property should be returned. Instead, they argued that the warrant was unreasonable, when it seems to have been a perfectly valid reason to seize the property (at the time). Filing a case incorrectly can lead to these kinds of results, unfortunately. Seems to me like they needed better lawyers on this one.
