California is one of the most heavily government regulated states.

Elong Musk chose CA because it provides the best opportunity for chronyism--ie. easier to buy the government in CA than elsewhere.

You shouldn't worship Elong Multch, he's not worth the praise.

I'm pretty sure he only located stuff in CA because it was/still is seen as the tech capital of the US.

As for cronyism I reckon he is the least guilty of that compared to all other companies.

Tbf, the plant he is talking about was a GM plant up until the 80's then It became NUMMI, and something else IIRC then he bought it and tooled it up for Tesla's. It isn't like he had it built from scratch.
