The worst experience was trying to start the wood stove in the fall. Bunch of them had hidden themselves in the fireplace and under the ash for warmth, so when I started the fire, it was like something straight out of a horror movie. Bugs crawling frantically out of the ash, swarming the living room. It was horrible. Shopvac was best friend. Would go around vacuuming them up from around the doorways and screens. End up with literal trash bags worth of dead stink bugs. I hate those damn things.
