Ironically, these doorknobs will need to be coated to avoid oxidation, rendering the copper useless.
Unless you keep rubbing them with vaseline.
In that case, vaseline acts as a protective coating, not a lubricant, until you try to turn the knob.
Some knobs are just meant to be pulled.
Constant touching should help keep the surface somewhat clear of oxidation. But yeah, they'd have to be polished occasionally.
