I'm honestly think they don't, and are just saying it to stop normies from panicking. Considering that Israel has had cases, and they are giving the same bullshit rhetoric as other countries, I'm inclined to believe this wasn't as Israeli thing, probably the internationalist variety who are fine throwing some of their own under the bus, wouldn't be the first time.
Also convenient that many top Iranian officials have severe cases.
