It's some serious irony and schadenfreude mixed though. When Hotwheels started 8chan he defended free speech, cashed in sold the site, took a job as the sites developer.. A couple "happening" plotters make the equivalent of blogposts before some attacks, pretty much giving clues as to what they're going to do which is helpful to law enforcement and prosecutors funny enough. Clues that may lead to prevention, evidence that ensures conviction... a literal win win. Well anyways, Hotwheels joins a local church finds Jesus and comes to the conclusion free speech is the reason these bad things happened and lobbies tirelessly to get 8chan shut down. Yes... the reason the guy is suing Brennan is bullshit, but it's also funny as fuck in a "be careful what you wish for" type sense. Free speech have some common sense principles, (don't yell fire in a crowded theater type shit). What's amusing about the lawsuit is that it's purely punitive in time etc hassle. The lawsuit was is frivolous and only meant to make a point. When you actively look to curtail the speech of others this is the kind of shit it leads to. Slippery slopes are real. Gay rights movement proved that. Now they have trans kids reality shows on TV.
