Good point. I'm sure people would have volunteered to come get them.
They can get up to 150+ years old. It's a big deal if regular people cut them down in AZ, a class 4 felony. I fell in love with the desert landscape when I moved to AZ. Taking a motorcycle ride through Saguaro National Park not long after I moved here was a real treat.
Sounds awesome. I haven't had a chance to get down there yet.
There's some beautiful stuff. I was lucky enough when I moved down to catch some of the red rock mesas in New Mexico at sunset and it was stunning.
I didn't hit the Grand Canyon for a long time after moving here, but it is truly a wonder everyone should see. Seeing if at sunset is...words can't describe.
