Yep, but the crisis can be used as a counter move as well. They tried to pull this off last summer, but the Ebola idea didn't work because in their attempt to alarm everyone they reported it had a gestation period too quick to be an issue and got called on it.
Just mysteriously this one has the perfect gestation period for maximum fearmongering.
Don't buy into this nonsense and use the crisis to tell your friends about how stupid globalism and open borders is. Prepare them for what is coming, it might save a few of your friends.
