So, either you have the 1st amendment or you don't. Like the "sanctuary cities" this is just going to fuel other locations to not enforce other laws. This is seditious and is setting a dangerous precedent. If a state is not following the constitution how are they part of the USA?
Right around the corner will be making disparaging remarks against immigrants (i.e. talking against mass migration and border enforcement) illegal. So, because Trump didn't sign the UN Migration Compact, the states will just apply it locally.
Verbally harassing people isn't really 1st amendment, it's harassment but I agree, people should be able to handle words. At most he should receive a misdemeanor
I'm not advocating for harassing people, they weren't shouting at anyone in particular and weren't attacking anyone. This is why it is a violation of 1A.
