I find that amazing, really, I'm like "imagine creating an account 2 years ago on a random site, post one shit and don't interract with anybody and call it a day. And then, after 2 years I suddenly remember I have an account over there, and I go there and post a news article"

Maybe they are from Voat and made the account when Voat went down one of the many times in the past. I've done this myself. Now that it looks like Voat is gone for good, expect to see more old vacant accounts emerge.
I still have a hard time imagining myself in the situation I pictured above
