So rather than negotiate a peaceful solution, the cleric throws one of his own to the wolves. Am I reading that right?
>Ali Karim is second in command of MCP&S, responsible for hiring patrolmen, supervising the group’s marked patrol vehicles and assigning duties to “officers.” Karim does not hold an official title with the nonprofit organization, which has repeatedly been accused of trying to enforce Sharia law in the city. Though the Bloods agreed to Karim’s alternative solution, the plan still needed the approval of Imam Siraj Wahhaj to be finalized. When presented with the proposal, Wahhaj, well known for his desire to replace American law with Islamic law, rejected the agreement and told Karim to turn the address of the ex-MCP&S member over to the Bloods….
Yep, you did
Very unwise, coming from the so called imam. What's the point of being part of this "brotherhood" if it's to get thrown under the bus just like that? For what? For doing what was right, telling the nog to fuck off when he assaulted a muslim woman?
This is sending the wrong signal to the rest of the troops, a mistake the bloods wouldn't make...
Unless this is a trap designed to ambush the bloods, this is a sign of weak/ill advised leadership, or maybe, signs of internal power struggle/competition...
I have to say, this is a popcorn moment for me. Bloods and Muslims attacking each other - they should set up a pay-per-view.
