Title is misleading
Reality is that both chinese and americans are paying for the trade war
Trade wars are self-flagellation contests, the first who taps out loses
And americans don't want to face a china sized nazi germany, because make no mistake, chinese were and are still on an exponential growth curve, and they aren't going to get satisfied with a second place, winner takes all, adn it's a fucking distopyan dictatorship of faithless commies (yeah I know, zog doesn't sound that much better, it's just that there's no 1st and 2nd amendment with china, among other things)
So, the pain americans take now, is pain they would have taken anyway down the road, because there can be only one
Will this lead to a hot war with china? Maybe, maybe not
Is there a risk for that? Definitely
Is there a way to avoid conflict?
