They must have dumbed down biology a fair bit if the "researchers" think gay animals will end up with them breeding with more partners. That they propose that the animals are just so horny that they'll fuck anything doesn't hold much water either. Even species that are highly polygamous (herd animals for instance), will use scent to determine if a potential mate is a) of the opposite sex, and b) in a stage of ovulation that is likely to result in conception. Strikes me that they are looking really really hard to try and see something. Generally, if you look hard enough for something and want to find it enough, you will (Confirmation bias).
