Yeah, it's quite the shit show out there right now.
And we are here like, this is almost business as usual
The sad thing is that it has become business as usual, little by little, over the course of years. Remember, Rupert Murdoch created FOX News as a counterpoint to what he saw as a left-leaning bias in the established media. When it started it was mocked and vilified in a desperate attempt to prevent it from succeeding.
Granted, FOX is now the de-facto publicity arm for the Republican party which doesn't help get anything other than the opposing talking points out there. True journalism is being done on the grass roots level by individuals who are willing to put themselves in harm's way to get to the heart of it all.
And I forgot to mention... The entire surveillance/intelligence aparatus on top of the rest... CIA, FBI... Whatever alphabet soup... They are all in
Jesus fucking christ, who's not in it? Rand paul and a couple of brave but isolated mavericks aside...? 'O_o
Fuck. I was going to go on a tangent about the surveillance state too but got sidetracked and hit "Send Comment."
True whistle blowers - not partisan hacks with an axe to grind - are few and far between because they fear being prosecuted for bringing secrets to the public's attention. Obama's scandal-free administration prosecuted eight or nine of them. Snowden has been living in Russia because he knows he won't receive a fair trail (even under this administration) if he comes home.
Yeah...

And william binney...
Most normies never heard about his name, while he's the original whistleblower before it was cool https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Binney_(intelligence_official)
>in early July 2007, in an unannounced early morning raid, a dozen agents armed with rifles appeared at his house, one of whom entered the bathroom and pointed his gun at Binney, who was taking a shower.
This wiki article is bordering on character assassination btw
