My retarded county wouldn't take me seriously when I found one of these deer on a nearby property. I told them exactly what it was and they said it probably got hit by a car. I explained there was no injury. I talked to animal control, and they were genuinely concerned, but couldn't get involved because it wasn't a domesticated species. They were nice enough to call the health department who told them to just call the sheriff's department. A deputy just came and shot it (in the head) and left. I waited around to keep the crowd of people from touching it or going near it, then told the county public works crew, who eventually showed up, to glove up and make sure it gets buried deep at the landfill.
