I got out of the military right around the time when sex-integrated units started being pushed heavily, a few years after I was out, I saw that there had been the first sex-integrated training platoons pushed through Army basic. Since then, I've watched footage of the training of these integrated units. And it's exactly what I thought it'd be- a bunch of men being held back by their weakest links (all of the females in their platoon). This leads to the females getting absurd amounts of attention, and thus the male recruits get a lesser quality training. If male recruits behaved the way I've seen some female recruits behave, they'd be fucking discharged or *brutally* disciplined. But we can't expect women to be held to the same standard as men, everyone knows it, we just can't say it out loud without getting shit on.
