"Fixin" is the most cringe worthy slang that I've piched up in my lifetime. For years I've spoke it without even giving it much thought, but at least I've never wrote it.

As far as I can tell, it has no logical origin. I'm genuinely curious as to how "fixin" became synonymous with "about/going to" or "making" (as in "I'm fixin up some dinner").

I'm so glad I cut the Netflix cord, log ago. Thanks for the updates! Closer to the truth than some realize. LOL
