nice. you doing an autumn roadtrip? the dwellings in your comment are my fave's - they're still in pretty good shape (better shape than I imagine the casa d'poalcat will be in 800 years)
My eldest daughter and her hubby take frequent wonderlusts for around 6 weeks at a time. This trip was (back) to Colorado. Earlier this spring was the Southeast, and then the Southwest out to the crazy coast and up to Yosemite. My daughter is a horticulturist and enjoys inspecting flora. Who knows where they'll go next.
that's a lot of traveling! good for them. I remember the 'crazy coast' posts from the other place but figured such adventures were a 1 time event. i'm lucky to go camping a few weekends a year
They're very fortunate and I'm really glad they are doing this now while they're relatively young enough to enjoy it. They drag a trailer around, find a campsite for a few days, and then move on to the next point of interest. They'll come back when the get tired and miss the family and start planning their next trip.
