hes getting a pacemaker put in tomorrow. i watched a surgry of it, it doesn't seem to invasive. They slice you open above the heart and stick leads in, then push the device under the muscle or skin. the incision is about like a 1-1/2" then they patch up and watch him overnight and is sent home. I guess it is pretty routine surgery

Yep, it's not too bad a procedure, almost routine. Still, at 80, any anesthesia carries some risk and I'm sure he'll be uncomfortable for a while. I do hope all goes smoothly and he ends up in a better level of health. Thanks for letting me know, take care of yourself.
