I'm in Oklahoma, we don't get shit for snow usually. Used to when I was a kid but not for decades. I usually get maybe 2 days of 1 - 2 inches at best all winter. Lows usually only go down to upper teens, but sometimes to 10's for a couple days. But we can have 60 -70 in Dec for a day or 2.

These pics of CO I've been posting the last couple weeks are from my daughter and hubby. They take like month long wonderlusts a few times a year and this time is back to CO as it's one of our favorite places. They have a F250 and trailer and go to campgrounds or wherever and just chill in one place for a few days and then move on. The last trip they went through the SW out to the crazy coast and up to Yosemite and redwoods.

She's a botanist and loves to see all the flora. She can tell you just about any plant or flower by looking at them. I'm envious and glad she is able to do so. Living the life.

yeah, that sounds nice. Yeah if she headup up this way ever i can tell em a few roads in northern mn... altho really just one. now it is probably too cold unless ya dress for it. you take hwy 61 it follows lake superior, once ya pass two harbors you hit all the state parks and waterfalls for camping.

yeah its hitt upper 40's there now, the lake has a major chilling effect. Like if it 90+ humid here in the summer, i ride motorcycle up to there to cool off by the lake, can be like a 20 degree difference.

Fun fact: Lake Superior water temperature is at constant 40 degree F when you deep enough like 600 feet

here a pic of the lake and shoreline, thats all bedrock, and I think that is a outlet to a river, dont remember with one https://files.catbox.moe/i3w786.JPG

I just have a small truck tacoma 4 banger, i wanted to get one those popup trailers its about all it could probably comfortably pull. put my motorcycle in the bed and go up there. cause it is a really long drive to get there from where im at, like hours

Beautiful. I spent summers in N Michigan at our lake house and have been to Mackinaw Island many times. The great lakes are magnificent and almost looks like the ocean. Massive amount of water. One of my dad's favorite poems is The Song of Hiawatha...

by the shores of giche gami
by the shining big-sea-water...

which is, of course, Lake Superior. The Painted Rocks are awesome at sunset. You are fortunate to live close enough you can visit there.

yeah, i sometimes forget and take it for granted. Damn, I live right next to a great fishing lake, never go on it. But, it's like a 5 hour drive to Finland where I usually stay the night... usually on a friday, then next day you can go crazy. you have to be carefull driving up there at night, LOTS of deer & even moose as you get further up.

Superior is no joke, it is like a freshwater sea. The Edmund Fitzgerald sank there, ya probably remember that. https://youtu.be/9vST6hVRj2A

idk, i just got some bad news, my dad is in the hospital and they keeping overnight. Heart issues, hes 80.... and of course im going nuts. my sisters are with him.... not good man, he may have surgery tomorrow. fucking son of a bitch...
