I'd not heard that before. We've had breeding pairs nest in the same tree for over 20 years - not every year, so assume its been successive generations of the same line. Not seen his mate yet though. I put out a small homemade suet/seed ball before the storm hit. It's getting regular action. I don't put out feeders generally, but figured everyone would need a little assistance this round.
