The woods be better than bars. Just think of all the money and time you’ve wasted.

Drinking a lot less lately. Sober tonight.

Hacksaws blade wasn't too terribly thin. Switched to rip cut after that. Definitely need to invest in something portable and cheap to start. Bucksaw or yes, folding saw.

Glad to hear it.

Consider one of these…

https://www.harborfreight.com/search?q=japanese%20hand%20saw

Same style of teeth found on the Silky, Corona and Fisker pruning saws just on a thinner blade. Japanese saws are designed to cut on the pull for precise controlled sawing as opposed to the traditional American handsaw that cuts on the push. One side is for ripping and the other for crosscut. The thicker blade of the pruning style saws allow the cuts to be made in both pull and push. The curvature provides extra force and control with little effort.

The HF saw will surprise you and it’s cheap!

Haven't looked at jap saws like this really at all. Supposedly pull cut wastes less calories, just let it do it's thing.
