Despite the recent spate of eruptions in Iceland, the Canary Islands and the ring of fire, there appears to have been little discussion of recent research demonstrating reduction in solar activity, such as we have seen with Solar Cycle 24, coincides with increased volcanic activity by allowing cosmic ray penetration of the upper mantle causing an increase in radioactive activity and consequent increases in heat, motility and pressure.

I would have suspected, if they were being honest, AGW advocates would be delighted at this development given the cooling effect of increased particulates in the stratosphere. e.g. 1816, aka "The year without a summer".
