Well no shit? Europeans don't have a tipping culture, America should not either. This should not shock ANYONE.

Honestly American tipping culture is out of control anyways. I'd prefer everywhere just include a service fee and be done. I'm not tipping for counter service, if they already include a service fee or convenience fee, or for anything else that is reasonably just the service / product.

But I'm genuinely not trying to be cheap or screw a service worker. I'm just so tired of subsidizing businesses. Just give me a price. Your product / service is either worth it at your price point or it's not. If you can't afford employees at a price I'm ok with you don't have a business.

Aside from sit down resturants I haven't just stopped tipping, if they ask me for one I don't go there anymore. Cause I don't know if I'm getting ripped off or employees are, so I'm just out on it.

“Service fee” maybe just raise the price to cover costs like every other fucking business in the world. Fees fees fees, fuck that.

Exactly. Just freaking tell me what it costs. I'll either pay it or not. But when you try to run a confusopoly with fees and tipping and bs, screw it, I'm not gonna try to decipher that mess, I'm just out.

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel these days. I have worked tipped service jobs and I still agree with this.
