6.9% is HUGE. Imagine a city so shitty that one out of 14 people flees in a single year. Within 4 years they will lose 25% of their population at that rate.

I'm thinking Manhattan had the biggest drop since going out to hot spots to rub elbows with other rich people to make deals was far to expensive in that hardcore NYC lock-down than the cost and reward of living in that super overpriced city. I think the rich said to the city basically "to go fuck themselves". They likely moved to more citizen friendly states without vaccine requirements or passports that can fuck your life up or kill you.
