99% of the time, it is due to housing laws like HUD and Mitchell-Lama in which new, luxury housing complexes have to provide like 30% low income housing to mutts who apply by lottery. SO, not only is it a slap in the face to a guy like me who has worked hard all of his life and cannot afford to live in one of these new buildings, but it is a bigger slap to the actual residents of the building who are forced to live around Shaniquas and Tyrones who absolutely ruin the quality of life for the upper middle class people who earn a presumably honest living and pay market rental rates.

Brutal. Can't imagine living around uncivilized animals who get there by lottery.

Complete Commie nonsense. There is no reason that they should be enjoying living in a brand new doorman building with luxury amenities. There are plenty of older buildings that they can occupy and still have a roof over their heads and even live in a prime location. For someone who went to school or just worked hard and did everything that society told them to do to have to put up with this is ridiculous.

Do they put them in Manhattan buildings?

YES!!!! They put them in all sort of prime locations that a normie would have to make $100K-$150K a year to afford the rents!

EDIT: There was a time where they actually had the nerve to bitch about "poor doors" when the buildings (who were forced by the city to allow like 30% of these units to go to poor people) would put a separate entrance for them. It isn't enough to have a brand new apartment in a prime location; they also absolutely must be allowed to hobknob with the full market rent residents on the elevators and such:
